Christmas Day

Everyone was happy with what Santa brought this year. He was very good to the kids. We spent the day traveling from one house to the next visiting family. We love it and wouldn't want it any other way.

Livi was so happy with her Bitty Twins

Great Grandpa Trease made these awesome boards for each family! He must have spent the whole year working on them and they were a huge hit with the kids!! One side has a white board and the other side has a chalkboard. The top has a roll of paper. It is so cool and even more cool is that Grandpa made it :)

When Livi started drawing this picture we didn't know what she was drawing. It looked like a tree. The funny thing was, it was Santa's beard! That was the first thing. Everyone spent time with the drawing boards, what at hit!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was different and so much fun! We have struggled to find a good tradition since our grandparents passed away. Before then, we always had chicken cordon bleu, cheese potatoes, pretzel salad and the best rolls ever! We would eat, listen to the story of the birth of Christ from Luke 2 and then my grandpa would have the kids help with the flannel board pictures. We would end with stocking to open that they had shopped for all year long. Since their passing, we have struggled with what to do. I think we found it this year! We started with decorating gingerbread houses. Cole has a phobia of gummy candy so he wouldn't even come in that room. We each had to bring an idea for a game or something else for the small program. The games were hilarious! Kass read a story and my mom talked about the birth of Christ and also did a spotlight about her mother. As always...tons of yummy food!

Birthday Boy!

For 19 years he's been my best friend. For 17 years he's been my husband. He provides for our family, he's a very hard worker! He is a prankster and a comedian. He helps anyone and everyone. He always puts others before himself. At times he is the cook, the house keeper, the peacemaker. He is the best dad ever and the kindest husband you could ever imagine. He loves, supports, and stick up for us. He loves us and we love him!

Happy Birthday Trent!!!

Under the tree...

Each day there seems to be new gifts that appear under the tree. Livi is so dang sweet! This has to be the best age for Christmas. She is so excited about everything and she is counting down the days! She has gifts under the tree that she has made,or dug out of her toy box and then wrapped herself. I love the wrapping, the bell, and the bubble letters.

Go Kass!

It was so awesome to see my little sis graduate! She went to UVU for a couple years and then graduated from Weber State University with high honors. She is now working as a Respiratory Therapist at the hospital. I am so proud of this girl!

Reflections

Livi's reflections picture is moving on to region. She was so excited to have a little trophy with her name on it! I am so proud of her, her picture is better than I could have done. I hope she continues to love art and draw everyday... I see an artist in her future ;)

Alivia's Special Day

Alivia was thrilled to have people come for her special day at school. We could see who she was most excited for as she ran past the rest of us yelling DADDY!! She jumped up in his arms like she hadn't seen him in months, it was so precious. She wanted Sierra to be the one to sit by her and help with the All About Me book. It worked out since it was Sierra's lunch time. It was so cute to hear the kids answer questions about Livi at the end. I love Kindergarten, the kids are still so innocent and sweet! Aunt Michelle and Aunt Kass were able to squeeze in long lunch breaks to be there for Livi.

Parade

Grandma Kathy and Livi
Ryan and Sierra so excited!!
Colter, Trent and my dad
Liv so happy :)
killing time with thumb wars

We haven't been to the parade for years so we decided it was time. I talked all the kids into coming and they didn't complain....until we got there and they were cold! Ryan thought it was so cold he might die. Livi didn't mention being cold once, she was anxiously awaiting Santa Claus :) It ended up being really fun! After the parade we went out to dinner, by the time we went back to walk around Christmas Village, most of the crowd was gone. It was nice to have hot chocolate and wonder around looking at the little villages.

First Thanksgiving

One thing I think is really cool about Plain City Elementary is how they celebrate and teach about the first Thanksgiving. The whole school, teachers and all, dress as Pilgrims and Indians. They eat scones, pie, cornbread, have a hayride around Plain City, and learn all about the reason we have Thanksgiving.

Cherish the mornings

I am so grateful that this little one is still home with me half of the day. I am going to be broken hearted when she goes to first grade, but lets not talk about that yet! I love her creativity, she has been a great artist since the day she could hold a crayon. I love that she will sit for hours and create amazing things. If she has paper, crayons, scissors, and tape, she is set! Today she made this huge tree and then made the blanket into a nest and sat in it and played. There are not words to describe how priceless these little mornings are with just her and I home together.

Happy Birthday Mom

My mom is what I am grateful for today and everyday. She is an amazing lady who always has put everyone else before herself. She is always the life of the party and people are drawn to her and love her. I am so lucky to have her as my mom.
